Job Description
$30 to $35 an hour, plus a 6% night shift premium. Full-time, direct hire, night shift supervisor at a precision CNC machining plant in Maumee.
Plan on 50 or more hours a week, so overtime is built in.
About 90 to 100 people work at this plant, and it is part of a larger manufacturing group that hires all year.
You run the night shift on a production floor where the parts have to hold tight tolerances. You need to know CNC machining yourself, because the machinists and operators on your shift will come to you with setups, bad parts and machine problems.
The work:
- Lead the night shift crew on CNC mills and lathes
- Keep jobs moving and machines running through the shift
- Help with setups, first piece checks and troubleshooting
- Train and coach newer operators on the mills and lathes
- Check parts against the print and catch problems before they leave the floor
- Give day shift a clear handoff every morning
You need:
- 5 or more years of CNC machining
- Experience as a lead, senior machinist or supervisor
- Tight tolerance work, reading prints and using inspection gauges
- Able to work nights, full-time
- A steady work history
- Live within about 30 miles of Toledo
No degree required. Experience is what counts.
