Litigation Secretary – Rutherford, NJ - $65k - $72k, d/o/e
This well-established firm needs your litigation expertise!
Responsibilities include:
Ø File pleadings on E-Courts and Pacer within the time prescribed by the Rules;
Ø Propound Interrogatories, Document Production Requests, etc. upon adversaries;
Ø Draft and serve discovery letters upon parties and witnesses;
Ø Confirming and Calendaring court appearances.
Ø Scheduling Depositions, Mediations, etc.
Ø Maintaining litigation files and other such related tasks
Requirements include:
Ø 4+ years legal experience including litigation experience
Ø Strong knowledge of pleadings, motions, discovery and court filings
Ø Experience with e-filing in NJ courts and/or federal courts
Ø Excellent calendar and deadline management
Ø Ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines Strong interpersonal and computer skills
Ø Must be detail-oriented and organized
Ø Strong computer skills
Hours: Monday – Friday: 9 am – 5 pm
(Remote work on Fridays from Memorial Day through Labor Day and again during the holidays)
